How affordable are your solutions?

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No, there are no long-term contracts. The reason we don’t require long-term contracts, let alone offer them, is because of our high satisfaction rate. We don’t feel the need to lock people into an agreement, but instead let our customer experience speak for itself.

Do you outsource overseas?
No we do not.  This makes us different than a lot of other services in the marketplace. You'll have a US based Account Manager who is an experienced small business accountant, and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®.

Do you work with Not-For-Profits?
Yes we absolutely do.  Our solution is perfect for Not-For-Profit organizations, particularly those trying to stretch their budget dollars.

Do you provide tax services?
No we do not.  We believe that our clients are best served by working with a specialist that can offer the absolute best tax advice and tax return preparation services.  That is why we work with a network of CPAs around the country that provide tax advice and prepare tax filings.  We don't believe in the one-stop shop philosophy as far as accounting, payroll, and tax services go because it can lead to sub-par service, high rates, and it can end up costing you much more than just fees down the road.

Why wouldn't I hire a service that does everything for me including taxes and payroll?
It’s more expensive, less efficient, and you don’t get the "best of breed" service. You may encounter a company that provides good accounting services, but they try to do everything and be all things to all people so you end up getting sub-par service. Also, fully integrated one-stop solutions rarely turn out as promised. Your provider isn't going to be a QuickBooks expert, accounting expert, tax expert, small business expert, and a payroll expert all wrapped into one perfect package - so you end up with average or below average vendors. Why do I need an accountant if I have QuickBooks?
QuickBooks is a powerful small business tool that helps you perform daily tasks such as invoicing customers and paying bills; as well as recording and tracking important information.  However, QuickBooks will never take the place of a professional accountant and business advisor.

Accountants are qualified finance and business professionals trained to prepare, analyze, and interpret your books and financial reports, so you’ll have a full understanding of your business results and areas for needed improvement. Anyone can print reports from QuickBooks, but first an accountant must make sure your books are complete and accurate, otherwise your reports are meaningless. All businesses serious about success need an accountant without exception.

What do I need in order to get started?
You will need QuickBooks Software and a broadband connection, although if you don't have broadband, we can still work with you via file-exchange.  If you don't have QuickBooks Software, we can help you select the product that is right for you and even get you a discount on your purchase.

What qualifications will my Account Manager have?

Your Account Manager is your main point of contact at FinancialZone and should be considered an integral part of your team. Your Account Manager will be an experienced accountant who has worked extensively with small businesses. They will also be a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®, which means that they have significant expertise in using QuickBooks products and they have passed a rigorous annual certification exam.

What QuickBooks versions and releases do you work with?
We work with all QuickBooks versions (Simple Start, Pro, Online, Premium, Enterprise, Point of Sale) and releases (2009, 2008, 2007, etc.). Because we work directly with your QuickBooks file via a Remote Desktop connection, there are rarely any compatibility issues.

Isn't QuickBooks only for small business?
No, actually there are many different variations of QuickBooks now, including an Enterprise version that was designed for businesses with more robust needs. However, the software still maintains a similar user-friendly interface of traditional QuickBooks software.
